    jackplate too big?

just wondering if a jackplate can be too big for a certain rig. I found a used 12" R&R off of an older 20' skeeter, thinking about puting it on my zx190. will this be okay. somebody on here told me an 8" was optimum for my zx190 with a Merc 175efi. Any suggestions?

    Re: jackplate too big? (Blakstr1)

The ZX190 typically has a 10 jp. I would think a 12" jp will be too much for this 18'5" hull.
