Why would there be a problem? If it's brand new and never used, i don't think there would be any con's to it. The pros would be that you could get a great deal on it being that the '07's are out now. 2 years old, you still get the full warranty on everything, and also if you buy at the right time you may even get an extra 2 or 3 year warranty on the motor. Sounds good to me. That was the type of boat i was looking for when i was in the market. A new old boat.![]()

I would not have any reservations on buying a boat like that. The only con I can think of, is that once you sign the papers, you own a 2 year old boat, as far as NADA is concerned. That's not a problem if you plan on keeping it for a while. I would buy a loaded/larger/older/new boat, before I bought a smaller/new boat for the same price.

I bought a leftover 97' Skeeter in spring of 98'. I got a good deal on a great boat. It was funny because the boat had recently been to a show and I found the "show Special" price in the rod locker. The salesman came back and said I can give you a hell of a deal on this boat-LOL. He quoted me like 4K more than the "show Special" sign I was holding in my hand!
Long story short he took like 5K off on the spot.
I signed the papers that morning-LOL. Go for it but if it is a leftover you may be able to get alot better price than you think.

I think I know the boat you are talking about and they have had it a long time!! Keep in mind it will be 07 in a month!! Now if they will sell it for used value then it would be a deal!
I don't see a problem buying any boat that has not been used. Boat may be two years old but it is brand hammer new. It still carrys a brand hammer new waranty.
You might also get them to cut some more or throw some more add ons in taking boat out of their inventory.
For what they are asking you will save a bunch of money and not have to take the big loss of dollars when you drive it off the lot. That thing will have the 5yr motor warranty also. Its a better boat than the other one you have been looking at. Get the Skeeter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of our shirts already say Skeeter anyway![]()
P.S. I would buy it tomorrow if the wife would go for it![]()
