1997 225 venom starting procedure.

Can someone please tell me how long to push the choke in when attemping to start my engine cold?It usually takes me several attempts to finally get it going. model j225steud.Thanks

Starting procedure for your motor is:

Prime fuel bulb until firm.
Trim motor level.
Turn key to ON position, push Key In and hold Key In, crank motor while holding Key In, when motor starts release key, Immediately Press Key In three more times with a short pause (about one second) between depressions, each depression lasting about one second.

Once the motor is warm just turn the key to start.
