Will an Xp lower unit fit a FICHT?

Just wondering if a lower unit from an XP150 would fit a Ficht 150. I realize the shifter and possibly shaft would have to be swapped out. Will it even work though?

Yes it will, but you'll have to change the driveshaft and the shift rod for the FICHT! Also, depending on the year of the XP, your thrust washer on the propshaft may have to be changed to a larger size.

Thanks for the reply. I have both lower units but the FICHT has a nose cone on it that is not needed for the speed that my boat runs.
