What is the difference ( HELP )

I bought the 2100 Bee Line with 225 Yamaha down here in TX, bought it new in Nov/2010 and I love the boat, great ride and fishes great....my question is I hear the Bee Line is NOT as good as the big Phoenix or Ranger or any top name brand…. or its a great 1st time owner boat or its a entry level boat...WTH is the Problem with the BEE LINE….This is not my 1st boat, bought my 1st boat new and it was a Charger and had it for 15 years and took great care of it still looked new when I sold it. I have been fishing for many years, fun fishing, bass clubs, tournaments and have been in tons of different name brand boats and I don’t see what other people are looking at….its kind of like oh you have a Bee Line its not as good as other boats or the Phoenix…We had a PAA this weekend down here in Garland TX and Gary Clouse and Aaron Martens was fishing in it and I was able to talk with both, Gary was a great guy I asked him about the Bee Line and he said it was a good boat, but he didn’t sound like it was a great boat. Talked with Aaron Martens and he ask me what Phoenix boat did I buy 719 ??? and I told him know the 21 foot Bee Line and he looked at me like I was talking Spanish didn’t even know Phoenix made a Bee Line boat….just venting I guess, I don’t care what other people think just kinda piss me off a little….your thoughts

Wish more used ones would come up so I could buy one.
I thought I read somewhere on here that they are still made with the better glass mat and hardware.

The Bee Line is a great boat, nothing wrong with it at all. The boats were produced when Phoenix started in business, since they bought the old Bumble Bee plant and tooling, and continued to manufacture them while they designed the Phoenix line. The ONLY reason they quit making them is the molds where old and used, needed some repair and updating, which they did not do since they were hard on finishing the Phoenix molds. Before I became a dealer for Phoenix, I was approached by the rep pulling a Bee Line, I was very impressed, excellent looking and well laid out, by the time I signed on, the Bee Line was no longer in production. They were a price point boat, not as many bells and whistles, and no added cost for the new molds. You never know if Phoenix will work on them next, since the 921 is complete, only time will tell. With the demand for Phoenix boats, I don't see it in the near future.
Most brands make a less expensive model, Stratos makes the XT series, Triton makes the Explorer, ect..... but nothing wrong with any of them, just a model for folks who want something a little less for what they can afford.

Enjoy your boat and stop worrying about this crap...If you like it ...enjoy it.

The bee line is a dying breed as so many other boats . The new line is Phoenix! Like it or not..that's the way it is! It has nothing to do with the quality and enjoyment of the boat...

Is this a reason to fret??? Not if you enjoy the boat! The posts that I have read from previous owners all like them.

However... the Bee Line was a transitional step for the new company ..Phoenix...rising from the ashes! If it upsets you so much... sell it and get a Phoenix!

I understand what you're saying. I've shrugged off the notion that they are inferior numerous times. I LOVE my BeeLine and that's the bottom line for me. Sounds like you love yours too and rightfully so. They are VERY good boats. I've got the 295 Pro Sport and won't look back. Fishes great, good layout, and she's a screamer!!! No matter what transpires, peoples opinions are usually set pretty firm. Just look at any argument in the lounge about brand "X" vs. brand "Y" . One thing I have noticed though, the guys that own BeeLines love 'em just as much as I do. The complaints have seemed to be very few and far between

Nothing wrong with a BeeLine. Great boat, Just a old design thats all. Its still made with all the great care and good materials as a Phoenix. I even looked at them before buying my Phoenix. I just didnt like its layout. The people who love them are loyal as well as when they was bumble bee. We Phoenix guys still get crap about our boats. Stupid rumors and what other people or companies like or dont like about them. So dont worry about people who dont know about your boat or dont care about it. Your still fishing and thats why you bought it.

Re: What is the difference (Slim from TX)

Slim, I bought a BumbleBee ProVee 200 in 1992. (Same hull as your 2100). At the time, it was the best boat that I had owned. Great ride in rough water, drove great, fished great! Well, 15 years later, I sold it. I went to the Phoenix factory, to look at the new Bee Line boats. (Phoenix boats were not yet available). I liked what I saw, and the people that built them. So, I bought a new BeeLine 286 with a 175 ProXs merc. I would put that boat up against any 18 footer on the market, as to quality, fit&finish, and overall value. It was a fine boat, but i missed the 21 footer. I looked at a 2100, but the console was different than my ProVee 200. I had trouble getting my long legs under the console and on the foot throttle. I then looked at the new phoenix 721. It was all I had enjoyed in the ProVee 200 and then some. It was also very roomy under the console. I bought #19, one of the very early Phoenix 721s. I wouldn't trade the phoenix for any other boat, but if that console had worked on the 2100, I would have a 2100 now, and be proud of it. The 2100 has great storage, fishes great, and has proven quality and durability. Enjoy your boat.

Re: What is the difference (Slim from TX)

I have owned probably 30 bass boats, Ranger Stratos, Triton and many other top brands. The last two boats, a 2100 Bumble Bee and now a 2100 Bee Line and can honestly say the Bee Line is as good or better quality than the other brands. To say the Bee is inferior is pure BS! The 2100 will run with any 21' Phoenix speed wise and is the best riding, rough water boat I have owned. I had a 21' Ranger and it was a POS ride wise compared to the 2100. I have driven a 21' Phoenix and it is a top of the line boat and has more bells and whistles, but the Bee is in no way inferior quality. You have a quality boat to be proud of, enjoy it!

Re: What is the difference (Juniver)

Hey Slim, my suggestion is pay no attention to those people who tell you its an entry level boat or a transitional boat. Quite frankly in my opinion they are clueless. From my experience after looking closely at my boat and its standard features and price range for the most part these type people are somewhat embarassed to admit that they got less and payed far more for their boat. From your write up it sounds like the comments from Gary Glouse were not as encouraging as you expected. To that I say it is what it is I guess and welcome to the club ,we are what we are. You have a fine boat that will give you great service so enjoy.

Re: What is the difference (Slim from TX)

Yes, they have ceased production on the Bee Line. This was the company's business plan from the inception. The Bee Line production got the company through until they could develop the Phoenix. If it were not for the Bee Line there would probably not be a Phoenix
