    Safety Cable

What are you folks doing for an additional safety cable for the bow eye to trailer connection. Trailer labeling says to not depend only on winch strap. Post pics if you can...

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Safety Cable (falcooon)

I don't have a pic, but a buddy of mine mounted a boatbuckle to the trailer and hooks it after he latches down the main winch. Looks good and should work if he needs it.

    Re: Safety Cable (txbass1)

My Javelin trailer came from the factory with a chain that has a hook/latch. The chain and latch are similiar in size as the saftey tow chains that attach from the trailer to the truck. The winch post came from the factory with a piece of metal with a hole in it and that is welded to the winch post. All I do is snap the latch to the bow eye to secure the boat. when I get ready to unload all I do is unhook the latch and let it hang buy the chain attached to the winch post..sorry no picture but hopefullly you get the idea.

I have also see trailers with a boatbuckle like mentioned above and it does look good.
