1997 Johnson 200 Venom Question

Hello all,
I am debating if I should disconnect the VRO on my 97 Johnson 200 Venom.
It works now, but it is 13 years old. Not wanting to have an issue, I would like to disconnect and bypass the electronics.

Can someone point me in the direction of disconnection please?

I ran it [vro] on my 93 rude 150 until I sold it last summer and it never gave me a problem,they are pretty dependable, unless its giving you problems now I wouldn't mess with it.
