why did they take the drop back transom off the new boats?

been out of the loop for a while offshore fishing but getting back to bass fishing i have a 1990 gambler that i fished for years, the best boat i have ever owned by the way, and i see the new boats have a strait transom is there a reason for this because i love the one on my boat? just wanted to know why the change looking to get a newer boat soon, but i think i will stay with the drop back older boats unless there is a good reason for this change.

the drop back is still there...they just enclosed it to give more room on the rear deck.they also filled the area with floatation, to make the boats sit more level....it looks different, but in my opinion it looks fine, and the gains in deck space are well worth it...

yes it does! i rode with mike price in one of the new ones, and he pulled the kill switch at 50 plus, and it didn't wash over the back.
