    bilge pump on 95 Intimidator

This weekend at the rally my bilge pump went out, today when I started digging it out I found I had two bilge pumps one looked disconnected or the wire had come lose. I am thinking there must be an auto function on one of these pumps but I'm not sure. One of the pumps has three wires one black and two brown and the other only has a brown and a black. There was two brown wires that were lose I think those might be some kind of auto switch that is activated by the water level. Is there any one that can tell me or draw me a picture of how these are wired up and how I can test this auto function if that is what it is? Both pumps are working but there is a lot of junk in the bottom and they are burred under the gas tank which I can not get out. Help

there should be a float switch on the side of the pump that is on the outside...guess someone could have cut it loose instead of replacing it...you can buy the float switch, and just wire it back up...and did you pull the seat to get to the pumps?????they shouldnt be buried that far under the tank....most are just under the seat, and behind the floor drain...

I don't see any access under the seat am I missing something? These two pumps are right under the gas tank and I had to get to them from the rear compartment. What does the float switch look like and where can I get one? Thanks LD Ya Kevin you would think everything would be flushed after having all that water in there. My e-mail is working thanks

Terry when you get this figured let me know, I can only find 1 pump in my '94 & runs but doesn't pump. I put mine on the trailer to drain it Saturday. Washed the inside of the Hull out really good.
Correction I have 2, one a few inches from rear of tank & one between the batteries.
Mine drained for a good 7-8 minutes on the trailer/ramp Saturday.
The old man in a Bass Tracker with TX plates gave me the like I cut in line or something. He sat at the top of the ramp for 15 minutes fiddle farting, I thought he was leaving not launching. His 2WD just about got parked on the ramp, sit-stay-good Dodge Dakota.

Re: bilge pump on 95 Intimidator (Table Rock Spcl)

I have two bilge pumps on mine one you can see under the gas tank and the other right behind it. I think the back one has a float switch and the front is operated through the switch on the consul. I think both can be wired with the float switch and the front can be both, but I'm not sure. One of the pumps has 2 brown and one black. The lead coming in has 1 black, 1 hot brown, and one switched brown. Today I'm going to clean the exit pipes and the pumps and the inside of the hull. Then try and rewire and put it all back together again. Wish me luck. Hey does anyone know how to get the spell check back when the sight was switched I lost that function and I really need it. Thanks

i dont think i would worry about spelling too much...none of us are spelling bee winners....we know what you are saying...i am sure al will have the spell check fixed shortly...but we are all family here...we will let you slide most of the time...

good luck with the wiring by the way...i spent about 3 hours one day trying to figure it out...i wish i could remember the combination...but both pumps should run at the same time.. if they are on the switch, or the float...

Re: bilge pump on 95 Intimidator (ldbass55)

Thanks I was wondering about that. Sense the float switch was not working I wired one of the pumps to the console switch and the other one I added a manual switch in the rear compartment just for a back up. I'll probably put in a float switch later but have to get something ready for this weekend. Thanks for the help.
