what do most of you run? was thinking about extenion's for mine. have 8" detwiller,if i go with 4" i'll be at 12",6 will put me at 14". 20' intimidator.witch will work the best

I would just get 2" spacers to put on your detweiler.

I'd agree with Jeff..........just add 2" spacers.
Jim.......I had a 99 Intimidator that came from the Gambler with a 12 inch manual jackplate and it ran very well. Also, I believe Detwiler only makes 4 inch set-back extensions at this time. Detwiler used to make the larger set-backs but not any more per the conversations I've had with some of their distributers.

My '01 and '05 Intimidator came with 8" of set-back, 6" Bob's and 2" Bob's spacers. If you were just wanting to try a little more set-back, I would try the 2" Bob's Machine Shop spacers. All you would need is the spacers and longer bolts.

I orginally had 14inches 83 GPS Went with the 10bobs dropped to 78 added 2inch spacers went back to 80. I am going back with 14 and prolly going to try the 2in spacers which will = 16inches.

Remember as you move the engine back you must also raise it!! Also the further back ya go the less trim you need to use.. At times your proping will change as well.. Louis
