I have become the new owner of a '90 Basstracker TX -17 and on that there is a 1993 90/65 evinrude jet. I am about to start some work on the engine such as decarbing, re-building the carbs, new starter/plugs/wires, fuel pump. But i have a few questions, apparently I need to install some type of flush fitting near the impeller grease fitting near the bottom of the motor.

I see where the nut is that i can remove to install the flush fitting but im not sure what part number i am looking for, any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Another question i have is this. Once that fitting is installed and a garden hose hooked up, can i run the engine, to do things such as decarbing and such or do i really need to take it down to the river which is 40 minutes away to do these things?
