Alright, I was out in a friend's brand "X" boat and I caught a 7.4 largemouth. First thing I ask is "where is your camera?" Well, it was left on the kitchen counter. I couldn't blame him for that, we left really early in the morning and I have left more important things behind.
So, we look at how pretty she is, and since we have no camera, let her slide right back in the water without anything but a mental picture. I really hate not getting pictures of good fish.
I guess it was over a week later thinking about the trip that it hit me, I HAD MY CELL PHONE WITH ME THE WHOLE TIME!!! I could have had some pics of the fish if I had thought of it. Well, like I said we did leave early and I guess the gray matter was being used up for fishing instead of being resourseful.
Don't make the same mistake, even if you have a disposable camera on board, take a pic or two on your cell phone. You can view them right away and some disposable cameras are left in the boat too long and they end up with heat and water damage.
