Please give me the good, the bad and the ugly of the 2007 200 elite

I own a 2007 200 and I love the boat. It is not a speed demon, maxing out around 67-68. I have not been able to get to 70+ but I have the regular Optimax instead of a XS. The boat handles rough water great and is a very stable at rest. Storage is awesome and front deck is massive. Some boats had extra "hook" in the hull including mine, but with or without the hook there was only a couple mph difference. I believe the hook was supposed to help eliminate chine walking. I don't have anything bad to say about the boat.

I have an 07 200 elite 225 pro xs. I love my boat. Couldn't be any happier. Like other said, storage and deck space is great. Classic champion ride. Doesn't seem to ride as bow high as some of the others but it runs great. Top gps is 73.6 full gas and loaded one person. 71.6 with two people.

+1 on R Warner's numbers. My buddy has an 2007 200 and runs exactly the same numbers

They are incredible. I have a 200 elite and once I got this thing propped right it is awesome to drive and fishes amazing. I will say though the ones that did not get the hook taken out are dogs. Most of them that still have the hook in the hull will only see 65 to 66 mph. I am achieving 71 with tourny load and 2 big a$$ guys. A fine ride for sure.

I was told that only the earlier 07 boats had the hook...and once the issue was pointed out, the subsequent boats were made without.
