Just wondering if anyone with a similar combo has done a long run to see what the range is. I've run out of gas twice, but mostly because my fuel gauge stopped working. I'm thinking I can get about 200 miles if I baby the boat at 4000-4500 rpms? But maybe I'm being overly optimistic.
Anyone know?
Don't know for sure on the ETEC - but your math would seem to be about right on my 225 Opti (4.1 MPG @ 5,000 RPM X 50 Gal. = 205 miles)...
Sounds about right. We ran about 100 miles round trip at a tourny this spring and used about a half tank (25 gal). About 40 miles of that was running wide open.
My crystal ball says you are running to the ducks this weekend:). Im not fishing the fed cup but might be doing some fun fishing there, gl Charles.

Awesome find Championman. Thanks to all who responded. Looks like I won't be making any big runs thanks to the nice front and wind storm headed our way. Oh well, what could be funner than sitting wet and freezing on a fishless spot thinking about all the 5 lbers that you can't get to because the safety police don't want us driving a bass boat in 14-18 footers. I'm sure my Champ could handle it. :)
