    Fuel Capacity

Hey guys. I was wondering what size tank i have on my 2004 203?? I was about 1/4 of a tank or so from being empty and i filled up and only got 18 gallons in? Whats up with that? Is there a possibility someone could have modified the tank size? It should be around 45-50 gallons shouldn't it? I checked the gauge in two different areas so I wasn't on a hill or anything like that. Just curious what you all thought.

Fuel capacity for your rig is 45 gals. Fortunately, our fuel gauges seem to err on the side that keeps us safe. Mine shows 1/4 tank right now. I know for a fact, it is almost half full. I use my engine monitor and track fuel I put in and fuel used.

Old sailors rule of thumb, 1/3 out, 1/3rd back 1/3rd reserve. Fuel tank senders are rarely reliable.
