A few questions about the tandem trailers under the 2008 CX Champs. Are the fenders a polymer material with the color all the way through or are they steel yet? I know Stainless is an option. Oil bath hubs on all trailers standard? Are the blackwell tires Marathons or some other brand? Last one.......retractable tie downs are not standard...is that right?

CX Trailers.....As far as I know, fenders are steel. Oil bath hubs are standard. Tires are Goodyear...brochure does not specify model, but I think Marathons. And, correct, retractable tie downs not standard.
Although you don't mention, swing-away tongue is standard...
I am hoping one of our sponsor dealers will chime in here if I have made a mistake.....
Hubs on my new 198 are something called the vault. It is a hybrid system of oil the turns to gel at room temp. It has a 10 year no service claim. I think bass boat trailers should be alum just like the saltwater boats. These painted trailers rust no matter how well you take care of them
Thanks for the info. I was hoping the fenders weren't steel due to chips and rust down the road. Those hubs sound cool. I know the earlier Rangers will oil bath hubs had quite a few problems with leaks - sounds like these are better.

I have the SS fenders on mine, so no problems...but on my last trailer, I put the stick-on rubber pads on the fenders where the chipping could occur. Worked great...

No they are bolt on so you can change them!
