84' RGFM Live well question?

ok folks again thanks in advance for the help ...
I just got the new boat wet yesterday awesome machine just needs some TLC .
it has 2 live wells in the back with a switch on each side of the boat.I am assuming 1 for each as I can here a noise when I flip them on.I dont get water in either one and am not sure how the plumbing actually works on this.
Each side has a faucet at the top of the life well just inside .then a drain looking screen about 1.5 inches across as well as a drain plug in the bottem and about 3.4 of the way up another hole (not sure what this is) but it looks factory.Anyway I get no water to either well and of course no circulation of any type .Does anyone know how this should work so I can begin to trouble shoot.....

OK here goes. First sounds like your pumps are not pumping, probably because impellers are dry rotted or something has clogged the spray heads(mud bees like to get in there just like peehole on motor.) Those nozzle remove. Drain plug is what it is and is in there because valve cables are stuck. The other hole is to recirculate the water, instead of drawing fresh water from outside the boat it draws it from this hole. This is used when running or on trailer to add oxygen to water. The plumbing is fairly simple. Try http://www.flow-rite.com/marine/livewell-builder to get an understanding how they work. Our Cajuns are close to these set-ups but not exactly the same, so this is just to get an idea. Hope that helps.

I went out and found that the buttons on the side are the circulating pumps they work ... thats a good thing .my next question is . is there a switch to turn on the fill pumps .How does that part work I guess I am lazey I could tear it all apart just not wanting to do that yet if I dont have to.

In my boat the pumps were week and I had to take the hose fitting loose at the split to get the air out before it would push to the faucet.

There should be a switch on the control panel and probably on the bow panel, to turn the fill pumps on and off. There may be two, one for each pump, but my memory is weak. The switches on the gunwales are as you figured out, for the recirculating pumps.

There are probably two bilge pumps also. One manual and one automatic. The automatic one does not have a panel switch, just a float switch.

Kevin is right. I have one on console (aerator) and on on bow. He is also correct about bilge. The bilge switch overrides the float to turn on pump. The only thing I'm not sure of is how many pumps you have. My boat has three. yours will have at least three. Mine are one bilge, one for each livewell fill. Fill pump is used as recirculator with the turn of knob on Gunwale. Oh and from original question the hole that is next to spray head is an over flow.

Thanks to all of you ..With your help I have at least figured out how it is supposed to work .I did tear it all apart .Fuel Tank is out, pumps are out ,doing a rewire job on it .The float wouldnt work as it was hung up in the wiring.. as well there was 20 plus years of garbage in there that needed cleaed out. 4 pumps total I intend to trace/repair any wiring and replace /repair pumps today then try to get her all back together .we want to take her for a ride later if possible.My wife and children are very anxious to try her out .

One other thing I forgot to mention. The livewell pumps have a check-valve in the lines to keep the pumps from backfeeding each other. If a pump fails without a check valve, the good pump takes the path of least resistance which is back through the bad pump. The check-valve prevents this.

If I remember correctly the check valve assembly looks like an "X" in the line.
