    Too much pressure??????

I recently bought my first bass boat, 1999 Stratos 201 w/ 200 Rude Vindacator.
At WOT I was getting water pressure in the low 20's. Not knowing what service was done on the motor, I had the impeller changed. Now I'm getting around 35 lbs
at WOT. Is this too much pressure? I searched the site and read a post about a poppit valve regulating the pressure at around 25 lbs. Should I be concerned?
