Damn, my state always seems to come out looking like a bunch of azzhats. They need to make this right
By the way my brother don't fish much but he's still OK.

Did you read the comments?Seems a lot of people feel the way you do about your state.This should be handled immediately and not take 6-8 months.
Sorry, I'm not sure I know what you're looking for here. The state made an error and is trying to fix it. What makes their mistake any more offensive than the mistakes your brother made 44 years ago. Does he have anything from the state of Il that he can show the state of GA that he's clear?
Illinois is that screwed up but yet, someone for there wound up being our President. How dumb have we Americans gotten?
That whole damned thing sounds like a crock to me. Give the guy his license and let him get on with his life!

He's looking for a common sense fix,not 6-8 months to clear a guy that did his time 4 decades ago for a minor offense.
Even his military record has all of the information because he was court martialed also. They sent him the letter that his license would be suspended and there were only a few days in the timeline to fight it or to do anything before it went into effect. IL has had this 44 years and out of the blue they send the letter. They said it could take several months to clear it up.
What makes it more offensive now than what he did 44 years ago is the statue of limitations is long past... the man paid for his mistake both the civilian court and military court and then all this time later something comes back and bites him in the but.
I'm not looking for anything on here. I am just posting information.

Exactly. So everyone thinks the state of Il should jump thru hoops for one person. If you haven't read the news lately you probably don't know that the state of Il is broke. The gov't agency most likely figures they have more important things to work on, like the states economy. And just because you think their efforts are misplaced doesn't necessarily make it so. I don't see anyone volunteering to go up and sift thru the records, that are probably paper copys, to try and find the right document. Alot of complaining with no solution offered.
Hey, there's a dead squirrel out in front of my office, I should go complain to City Hall for not cleaning it up yet!
He looks like a dangerous character. Best keep him off the roads.
