My little girl (3) is having her tonsils and adnoids out in the morning. Everyone keeps telling me it is no big deal, but my baby is being put to sleep and that scares me to death. I already told the wife no crying until she gets in surgery. Hope I can hold it togther. Just wanted to get it off my chest. Thanks.
Been there several times. Know how you feel.
My son had to have hernia surgery when he was 2.... I know exactly what you are going through. Watching him go down the hallway with the surgeon was gut wrenching but I knew it had to be done. Hang in there.... she will be just fine
Believe me I know how you feel. It's very scary and nerve racking. Be strong and greet him with a big smile when he wakes up.
Been there 3 times between my 2 kids. Son had adnoids and tubes in, daughter had tubes, adnoids and tonsils out.........then just this past thanksgiving my son had his tonsils out.
it's no big deal..........but I can say that AFTER the fact.I was scared crapless for all 3 times............
You'll do find, just be strong for your little girl......and when she comes out of the anethesia just be very comforting.........which I'm sure you will be.

Been there a few times. My son went thru 3 eye surgeries, first at 5 months, second at 10 months, and third just after his 2nd birthday. The first two were on both eyes, last one only on one eye. He was cross-eyed, so they were adjusting the muscles on the eyeball. We were really freaked out for the first one. After they took him into surgery, I thought I was going to have to carry my wife to the waiting room. It was tough, but the amazing thing is how well the kids get thru it. They bounce back fast!
