I noticed that the positive leads to my Trojan cranking battery were starting to get some corrosion on them, so I disconnected the leads and cleaned them. After hooking ALL the leads back up, I couldn't get the engine to crank over or the trim to lift.![]()
Upon depressing the trim switch, I can hear a very faint clicking under the engine cowling from what I assume is the trim motor solenoid. The battery checks out at 13.28 volts so that shouldn't be a problem. I've also reset the leads and checked them for snugness.
Is it possible that something in the E-Tec's EMI says "Don't Work" after the battery has been disconnected?
I'm looking for ideas here, and would appreciate any suggestions.
