    vro pump?

Took the boat into the marina 1997 200 johnson venom had a no oil light on system check .Steady alarm just like overheat . they tell me the fuel side of the vro pump is shot, not building enough pressure. My question is do you get a no oil light if there is a problem with the fuel side of pump ?Just wanted to make sure before i order the new pump .thanks again Pat.

Quite possible, and this is only theoretical, If you leave your motor trimmed up for weeks at a time. You should trim the motor down and occaisonally walk by the boat and squeeze the buld a few times to keep the bellows in the VRO/OMS lubed with fuel/oil, I feel this will keep them from drying out and getting pin holes in them. This is only my opinion and I am not an engineer, just a tech. I like to keep it simple.

This also keeps fresh fuel in the carbs so you don't get varnished up as quickly!!!
