My dad called just now and says his trim "up" is not working.He didnt notice any wires out of whack but it was dark when he got in.Is there a way to raise the motor manually?He had to leave his boat at the dock.

It's a 1984 Johnson 115.
Should be a manual releases on the port side of the motor if it's a factory installed unit. You will have to lossen the screw 3 turns, then lift the engine up by hand. Be prepared to get wet.
