What Year / Models are NEMA 2000 / Lowrance Net Compatible

Does anyone know what year Yamaha VMAX engines are NEMA 2000 / Lowrance Net compatible. I've spoke to several people and each have given me a different answer. I just want to read my RPMs if possible on my Lowrance Unit.

HPDI's 2005 and up. I know that these will work but I have never tried to put the lowrance on any of the earlier models.
    What motor do you have?

Re: What Year / Models are NEMA 2000 / Lowrance Net Compatible (spider1)

I have a 2004 Champion 198 Elite and a 200 VMAX (OX66). I think the motor has a sticker that says it was manufactured in 9/03. I'm just trying to get an accurate reading of my RPMS and wanted to run it through my Lowrance. I've been told different things from different people. One dealer gave me of list of what I needed to purchase (Engine Interface Cable, Lowrance Connectors, etc.) then another dealer said my motor is not compatible.

I was going to play around with propellers and engine height his year to try to get better performance but wanted to get an accurate reading of my RPMS. The tach on the dash is a little off. I asked the dealer to calibrate it the last year when I had the water pump serviced but it's worse now since he messed with it. I guess I'll first try to calibrate it myself in a few weeks once the snow melts. I was told 800 RPMs +/- is a good reading at idle.

    Thanks for your help.....

That is an EFI and will not work with NEMA 2000
    Sorry!

If you are going to be playing with props a good gps will help more the a tack.
I have seen props that runs 200 rpms less then other but will run as much as 5mph faster.

Playing with motor height and props you only need a gps and a good water pressure gauge.
