    Propshaft question-

How easily should the propeller turn by hand on my '04 200 ho? I can push on my prop by hand quickly and the prop will turn maybe 1 or 1.5 revolutions- can just keep it spinning slowly while I hit it with water at the car wash. Runs fine. Lower unit oil is fine(no metal). Smaller motors I had would spin pretty easily by hand or when sprayed. My friend's opti is significantly easier to spin. Will look at the shaft with the prop off to make sure nothing is on it.

Any advice to a novice?(Other than quit bugging you?)

Remove the prop, look behind the lower thrust washer for fishing line.

Be sure you re-torque the prop nut to 75 foot pounds.

Different cases and gear setups will spin more/less flreely. Sounds like you have no issues to me.........
