Hello, I hope to purchase my first bass boat (2002 Ranger 185) with a Yamaha 150 VMAX carb engine. The only issue with the boat is a couple of guage readings. The RPM meter on the multifunction guage displays no reading, and the fuel guage stays steady on 10 gallons. Any ideas on what the problem might be, and how it can be fixed?
If i'm correct you can't use digital gauges on the carb cause it doens't have the "computer" like the HPDI's do.

I have a 2000 150 carbed VMAX with digital guages and mine work fine.
Sorry but I don't have an answer to your problems other than they should work with that motor.
Ok, i stand corrected. I didn't think you could use digital gauges with the carbed motors.
