Bent my skeg yesterday, not bad, but noticable. Is this a show stopper or can it be straightened easily.

I don't know exactly how...But I know it can be straightened. I know a guy that has a big bay boat. He had just replaced the old johnsons with (2) brand new 90hp Honda 4-strokes. The first time he went to put it in the water, his little brother was going with him. His brother unhooked the winch before backing him down the conctere ramp.(it was UNGLY). The boat started sliding off the trailer. The motors hitting the concrete was the only thing that kept the whole boat from hitting the ground. It really didn't do too much damage. Bent one skeg, and broke the other off completely. He had them both fixed for a few hundred bucks, and you couldn't tell that they had ever been damaged. (He did have to repair the props too). I hope that story makes you feel better.....It could be worse!!!
