    stuck lower unit

    anyone have any ideass on how to get a stuck lower unit off. used in saltwater.
    i also tried pulling powerhead. shaft is stuck inside the crank.

    There are two ways to get it of and the first is to get a rubber mallard and tap on the lowere unit and use plenty of penetrating oil to try and jar it loose. If that does not work then take it to a shop so you don't screw something up and end up with a very large repair bill.

    thanks for the advice but i tried that and tried pulling the powerhead instead.
    i would take it to a shop but theres a few outboard shops that ran into the same problem. they could'nt get it off either. also 90 hp yamaha's.
