Well I sent my ECU to Simon Motorsports and I talked to Eric today on the phone, Eric increased my rev limiter to 6400 from the factory 5850. I have an 06' 250 XS XL, he also told me if I run high octane (90 or greater) it will help my performance. I know he knows his stuff but would like your opinion as my motor states 87 octane fuel. Eric was great to work with and I can't wait to see the results if only there wasn't 2' of ice on the lake.....
Were any other changes made to the PCM Calibration Map Tables (other than the rev limiter)?
This is an important question.... most changes that would give higher performance with higher octane fuel would ALSO DICTATE that high test fuel MUST be utilized (timing, fuel curve changes).
