    lower unit

    My boat is a 21xd. My choice for a lower unit is:
    Fleet master with dual pick up
    or
    Fat shaft tm 1.75 gears
    What the dis / advanagte

    250 HP & less, torquemaster. 300hp Sportsmaster.

    Don't confuse the Fleetmaster with a ServiceMaster or Verado-Style Gearcase.

    The Fleetmaster HAS the fat-shaft (heavy-duty) propshaft, and is identical to the Torquemaster (except that it does NOT have the cast-in torque tab). It's not well suited to a single-engine application (it's actually designed to be a center or port engine in a multi-engine application).
