I think John(Rusty63) priced one last week for around $3200.... as far as performance gain.,..... not likely...

There was a new take off Lightning lower unit on ebay this week for dealer cost...
I have an empty Lightning gearcase housing, 'supposedly' removed for cosmetic paint flaws by a dealer in Minnesota, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. It'll be for sale when I check it for alignment and really go over it.
Looks like the insurance co is gonna take care of it, thanks for reminding me Won, haha. There gonna look at it next week, who knows, maybe I can convince em I need one of those shiny new LU's!! The weird thing in all this, is that it didn't hurt the prop or skeg at all. I'm running a merc tempest, I don't know if that makes any difference or not.
