    lower unit oil

    changing my lower unit oil I noticed a very small amount of metal filings on the magnetic indicator.Just wnted to know if this is normal.The oil colour is tan.

    A small amount of fine metal dust on the drain plugs is normal, replace the lube with the Ultra HPF green formula.
