High School Senior Event

The LaPigstickers B.A.S.S. Federation Club will host a Senior Day Tournament Oct. 30th on BRL Complex.

We will invite 3 Seniors from the following High Schools:

Tensas Acadamy
Ferriday High
Monterey High
Vidalia High
ACCS
Trinity
Natchez High
Cathedral

The critera for the seniors chosen will be to write a 300-500 word essay on "Why I'd like to go bass fishing with a local tournament Angler". We will have a tournament committee to decide who the seniors will be, based on their essay's. After the winner's are chosen we will assign them to a local angler. The angler will go meet the senior/parents prior to the event to have a concentment form signed and lay out a game plan for the day of the event.

We will host this event from daylight-12:00pm and put up a $10 entry for them. This day will belong to them, all expenses paid. We will take them to our favorite areas and let'um get after it. They will use our equipment, rods, reels, etc. Payout will be $140, $72, $48. The club will also award the "Top school combined weight" and each of those seniors will recieve a $20 check as well. Door prizes will be gathered from sponsors of Pigsticker Members, we want them all to get something to take away from this.

This is our future for the sport, we're excited to bring something fresh to the table with our local seniors from the area's highschools.

Man that's an cool deal there, John!! Those kids will really appreciate that. There's a High School fishing club here that just got started in the last year or 2(i think)...and ULM now has a fishing team! I wish we would've had one when I went...I seriously think I would've finished college if we would have!!!

Ya'll are prolly gonna regret this next year when they join ya'lls clubs and kick ya'lls butts in your own holes!!!

As long as the sport grows with the younger guys it all good. Never know we might have the next KVD in the making and would'nt have known it without doing this
