I need to mount my fuel/water seperating filter inside the boat but I'm hard pressed for room to mount it vertical (mount on top, filter below). Can it be mounted horizontially instead ????????
FYI:There is no drain valve on the bottom of the filter (annual replacement filter)

NO option. Must be mounted with the bracket up top, filter below.
On your setup (yours only.... not the "average" 3L.... I would recommend a Stainless Steel inline filter designed to carry PRESSURIZED fuel (most water separators are intended for use in a supply, or suction line).

Got it, thanks. Guess I'll have to whip up a custom bracket.
As you mentioned, I do have this filter between the tank and the suction pump (prior to the EFI pump). I have a 10 micron EFI billet filter rated at 100 PSI after the EFI pump, prior to the fuel rail.
