Fireline for me. I tried the Spiderwire one time, and must have had a bad spool of it. Every time I set the hook, it broke.

    Re: Braid (barchief)

I have been using powerpro for a few years now, but as of late I have been having problems with the 50lb. The dye used to color the line is bleeding all over the place. I returned one spool thinking it was defective or something, then the replacement spool is doing the same thing. I picked up some Suffix Performance Braid in 50lb and I like it way better then powerpro. It does not bleed, it is smoother, and it makes less noise coming through the guides.

    Re: Braid (BIG GREEN)

Ishama monroe a few other pros have moved to Izorline. I bought a spool last year and have not changed it out yet. I love it. I had some problems with the 65lb power pro so I moved to the izorline and have not looked back

    Re: Braid (90xpress)

I like the 30# PLine, but had trouble finding it at Academy, so i bought Power Pro 30# and i have to pay attention to it. Tungsten weights will chafe it causing Powerpro to break faster than the PLine.

    Re: Braid (BIG GREEN)

i have been using 50lb powerpro for about a year now (mostly to chase reds) but i do have it on a few of my bass rods as well. i have been happy with it for the most part- strength and little to no memory, but now you got me thinking that there may be a better option...

Join the club.... I have broken it off, as well as power pro, every time I set the hook....thinking I might try again though...I am getting fed up with damn flourocarbon...it breaks by looking at it... and the mono is like going to bungee cord now after the flouro...

That's what I hear, but I can't seem to cough up the extra bucks for it. Even though it is only 5 more then what I am using now

    Re: Braid (90xpress)

I have been using power pro 50 and 60 pound. The only problem I have had with it is snapping rods . I still have 50 on my frog rod but have gone down to 20 and 30 pound.

Don't need to set the hook that hard with Power Pro Bump.
