I pulled the boat out of the garage to go boating on Saturday, and found a 2' wide puddle of hydraulic oil from the trim unit..
(Cajun F/S with newly rebuilt Johnson Faststrike 150)
It IS NOT leaking from where the hydraulic rams exit the cylinder, but instead somewhere below/underneath where I can't see..
I "refilled" the resevoir, and after it worked for a bit to clear air out of the system, it started to work.
I drug the boat to the lake, and while waiting in line to back down the ramp, found a 3" wide puddle had formed in 5 minutes..
So...we didn't hit the water, and instead came home..
Any ideas what, or where it could be from?
Anyone ever experience something similar?
Any idea how much it's gonna cost to get the trim unit worked on/fixed?
Advice?
Speculation?
Opinion?
Thanks...
