Finally made it to the Red River

Had to go pick my boat up in Bossier last week. It was on a week day, and one of my fishing buddies was off work too. So, we decided to make a fishing trip out of it. Neither of us had ever fished on the Red before.
We launched out of Clark's Marina at about noon, and fished until just before dark. We caught fish from the word go! I was pretty impressed with the fishery over there. We caught 18-fish. Our best (5) would have been 13-14#. Caught everything on medium diving cranks, and traps. It was a very hot (for November), and windy day, and we still had a blast.

I will be going back!

Well don't tell too many people about our place we don't want too much fishing pressure up this way. But you are right it is nice, glad you got a chance to enjoy it.
