    17 Point Deer

Steve would have you believe that this 17 point deer that I've deemed "Goliath" is his, shot today on the lease that we share between he, Dennis and I. If it were in fact his deer, then where are the pictures of him with it, I ask? And if a guy guts this deer and then helps drag the damn behemoth 100+ yards straight up out of a creek bottom then technically isn't it partially his? I'm laying claim to it, after all, all Steve did was pull the trigger This is a main frame 12 point with a scorable sticker off the back of the left G2, the left brow tine makes nearly a 90 degree angle facing forward, on the right side he has the beginning of a crab claw on the main beam, a kicker on front of the right G2, a kicker off the back of the main beam that splits into 2 points and a sticker on the front of the main beam and even a little pearling around the bases. This is truly a deer to be proud of Congrats to Steve. I'm almost embarrassed to mention that I shot a 7 point with a broken brow tine this morning

Okay... Here's Steve with my deer

Nice deer Steve! Bob, posing with another man's deer is like having your picture taken holding someone else's fish.

    Re: 17 Point Deer (Stein)

In all honesty, I could not have draggd that big SOB up the hill to where we could get the truck to it. I don't mind him posing with that deer at all -- "He Earned It!"

Thanks Bob.. I also want to thank Dennis .....

Okay time to get in the hot tub now !

Nice deer Steve. Sounds like one of those collective efforts where one of you couldn't have done it by yourself. Those are the best memory makers. You better keep your eyes open in that hot tub. A doe may sneak up on you and drowned you for taking out the local stud.
