    Rifle Deer

OK, I broke down and got a rifle permit. I was going to just doe hunt. Glad I did. He is a pure 4x4 with no stickers or kickers. Nice clean rack. 21 3/8" inside spread. Shot a couple miles from home.

Not sure. Best guess was ticks and he was scratching with his rack. Other guesses were going under fences. Neither make perfect sense as they are in pretty good stripes. Even the fence would be all over. No hide damage or sores. Meat was good.

Latest theory is he is the "catcher" for the big gay buck in the area and they are front hoof marks. Still looking to get him in my crosshairs.

I'll bet he went under some sort of fence and rubbed it off.

    Or maybe, naw oh well......

Yep, heading to the taxidermist tonight! My buddy got a nice 7x7 and we are both taking them in to Bill Velder after work.
