Ky lake grass?

How much grass is there this year around the Danville area?
Is it as much as last year?

No, not near as much. The grass has taken a huge beating these past 2 years with all the extended high water in April and May.

Even down as far south as New Johnsville there is not near as much grass, the high muddy water wiped a lot of it out for sure.

Will the grass come back in the areas that had grass in the next couple years or are we back to a grassless lake for a few years?

As long as we don't have too wet of a spring with prolonged high water (pray that the Ohio River isn't flooding thus making the Corps hold water in KY Lake), the grass should start coming back.

It will as long as we don't have a bunch of muddy water comming down the river, grass lives on clear water for sure.

Thanks guys. Just trying to get prepared for a trip and tourny on KY lake. Tourny is Oct 1-2 and will be there the entire week before the tourny.

It was the Midwest Sportmans Classic. We are going out of the KY Dam Marina ramp on Oct. 1&2.

So does anybody want to share any secrets? Us Ohio boys don't even know what a real bass looks like. We have been catchin 12" "minners" all summer.
