    Generator available

I have a Honda Gen. with less than one hr run time on it.
If anyone needs/wants to BARROW it until your power is restored, let me know.
I will do what ever it takes to deliver it.
We bought it 2 yrs ago when the twist (less than 1/4 mile away) hit and took the power out. By the time I went to town and got it, and got back home power was back on.
Only put a small amount of gas in it to make sure it would run.
Its a 5550 Watt portable, I have all the cords, and a couple of heavy duty extension cords.

If you need one in Louisville and want to purchase, Granger has about 75 that shipped in today. Ther are $690 with tax and put out 5500 watts. It weighs a total of 194lbs and is a good unit.

It is the Granger located on Plantside Drive in Bluegrass Industrial Park.

    Re: Generator available (Alliston64)

My Generator is now being held for Roddy until he gets home on Sunday, and finds out if he needs it or not........if he does not it will be available again.
Weather forecast starting Monday is not looking to good. Depends on where the fronts end up meeting but could end up being a big snow maker. This is bad with so many people without power.

Roddy will need it. The main transmission line from TVA to Murray is down and there are no parts available to repair it in the nearby area. They will have to be shipped in and repair will take up to 4 weeks.

Roddy, I am in Cadiz and have a spare room if you need that. The highways are open--some of the backroads still have ice and downed trees as of this morning.

The "war dept" and I rode around the area yesterday, and it aint pretty guys !

I have not been to Murray, but a son in law is a lineman for the city of Paris,Tenn and called us last night with the info I posted. Gasoline lines are long and some of the stations here are running out because of folks from the neighboring towns cant get power to operate the pumps. The Food Giant store in Eddyville,Ky was GIVING AWAY all ther frozen foods, meat, and produce yesterday. Better to give it away than to have it spoil in the store.

Great offer Ed! I gave up and left the area. Hoping we will have power in the next few days, but not holding my breath.

Good deal, Ed. I cannot believe the ice you guys got! It sounds like you'll be lucky to be back online (everybody) within a week.

Good luck to all of you.

    Re: Generator available (CGWright)

I just got back from Murray, checking on my family. The North side of town had power when I came in town. On the way back the power was out.

Here in Hopkinsville the lines at the gas stations are long because of the other people in neighboring counties coming here for gas. They are starting to run out at the pumps.

Yes we do have power because those guys are working their butts off ensuring we have power. I saw some guys at Elbracero tonight. I made sure to thank them before I left.
