    Getting ready for spring!

With the coming warm front this week I've been in the mind to get ready. I take 90% of the baits out of my boat in the winter. Well, they were pretty disorganized from last year. I did get all my hard baits organized by depth and color. Now all I have to do is get that wad of tangled spinnerbaits undone and respool my rods and I'll be about ready. The boat sure could use a good wash too. It won't be long!

I did the same thing this weekend. I wound up with 3 empty 3700 boxes. amazing what some organization will do.

Yeah, I'll get out and poke around but all I can catch in the winter is muskie and colds. Wish I could fish cold weather better. Anybody want to give lessons?

Getting ready for spring...now that sounds like a good idea

If the weather man is correct tomorrow is suppose to be in the low 50s. I have been waiting for some warm weather so I could do some work on the sled. Tomorrow I plan on getting out the vacuum and carpet shampooer and giving the carpet a good cleaning. I had put some tackle in the boat that I only use in the winter so I hope buy bringing it into the house that it will spark a warm spell. Might as well change the line on my reels and get ready for pre spawn. I feel a break in cabin fever is just around the corner.

your telling me. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to think about fishing let alone getting out of town to go fishing. I need to get out. Getting a little fried.

Re: Getting ready for spring! (arjone01)

2 weeks ago it was organizing baits, sharpening hooks, cleaning baits, etc.. The next weekend was cleaning reels and oiling them back up. This past weekend I added all the backing on new reels and stripped old line off the other reels. Looks like its a good idea because this weekend is going to be a great weekend to be out!!
