1991 Faststrike water intake screen question...

Hello, all, and ChampionMan, The screen inside my water intake holes disappeared on me last week while fishing. Two days later I'm in the garage and look at it and it's there... It moves up and down with some help with a toothpick. Are these easy to replace and could you give me some advice on how to? Thanks in advance, Rick

You have to drop the lower unit, remove the waterpump, and wear plate, Long pair of needle nose or hemostats. Push in on the top of the screen and lift up and out. Slip new screen in and make sure that it clicks into place.
