Problems water temp and pressure after my gear case swap, what could it be?

Lower unit swap was done first week of May. from L2 to M2.
ran boat a few times trying to reprop and fished 2-3 weekends afterwards no problems. water pressure 25 - 30lbs all the time WOT at any trim never checked the temps on the gauge. cause pressure was always good.

June 22 went out, boat did fine made a decent run 5-6 miles pressure @ 25+ fished and putted around most the morning headed back in after noon and hot buzz goes off, check temp it was at 185 degree, pressure 12 -15. Check low water pickups, they are clean. Next day dealer flushes it, and blows air thru all lines and finds nothing, but replaces water pump, which is only 52 days old. I go to the lake with dealer run it a short run, water pressure pegged out at 30lbs. So think every thing is good. Took bot out today, 11 days later, make a good 6-7 mile run pressure at 27lbs temp at 152 WOT. fish for 30-45 mins. Take off and pressure is down to 15-17 lbs max. temp climbs to 175, fished the rest of the day run and gun back to launch pressure always around 15 and temp always around 175 degree and climbing. This is a brand new pum and intakes are clean

These new M2 Lu's run high pressure 25 to 40 lbs. this did for the first month but not now. what is causing my loss of pressure? these were 2 brand new water pumps.

Pull the port lower motor cover and check the 90 degree elbow that fits into the triangular grommet the lmc's fit around @ the rear. Make sure the 90 elbow is securely fitted into the grommet and not partially pushed-out. While your at it check the other end of that hose where it attaches to the exhaust housing. If you have a leak there it will drastically lower water pressure & could cause the lmc's to fill-up and suck water into the #6 cylinder. Post your findings afterwards.

He hit it dead on the head. Mine did the same thing. The guy that takes care of the pros boats fixed mine. He said it was seconds from trouble. It was just barely hanging on. He said in addition to clamp, he also used 2 ton glue on it. The new lower units put out so much water pressure, it really hard on the water and exhaust outlet.

Sportwin you were dead on. After you said this I figured you may have something , cause on the first water pump that was installed with new M2 case 60 days ago, it did the same thing. I noticed it when I was flushing it to see if I had got trash in through the low intakes per phone conversation with the dealer service dept, water was spraying everywhere out of that 90* hose. I told the mechanic that over the phone, he said it blew off when it got hot due to pressure. figured he knew. Now the same thing has occurred but it never got hot, not to the buzzer this time at least, heated up to 175 but not to 185, just lost 1/2 its pressure.

Thanks now if I can just get a competent BRP mech to fix it correctly
