How much room should there be between the trailer fender and top of tire on my 97 EZ Loader trailer / Skeeter ZX 185. It looks very low when compared to other trailers I see. There is barely enough room to slip my hand between the fender and tire, and one side is sitting slightly lower.

If the tire is rubbing the underside of the fender, then you have a concern. Part of our company is Rockwell American Spring in Seagoville Tx. As far as the trailer leaning to one side or the other, I would check the shackle straps for elongated holes or the hangers having elongated holes from wear. If it is a tandem axle then I would also check the equalizer bar for the same, look close because that type of wear is hard to see behind the bolts. Easiest way is to get all the tires off the ground with blocks and look at it when the suspension is relaxed.
Boat trailers tend to always have weight on them in contrast to a utility trailer so the springs can loose their arch over a period of time. You can call 1-800-635-1354 Quality Trailer Products if you decide you want to replace them. Be sure to count the leaves and measure from center eye to center eye on the spring.
Should be a 26" eye to eye spring.
