I have a problem with my 1994 Ranger trailer; It is a single axle and my boat is a 1994 487vs. The problem: when I launch the boat, the stern of the boat raises and the bow of the boat pushes down on the bow winch roller; As the bow slides off of the roller, it tends to tear up the rubber seal at the top cap at the pointy end of the bow. The trailer bunks are raised in front to the max and lowered way down in the back. I have tried to adjust the front winch/roller in and out but with little relief. When I launch, I try to not put my trailer very far into the water but then the boat does not want to slide off of the bunks. I slowly back down and when the boat comes off of the roller, the front of the boat really drops down approximately 10-12". I have seen pictures of similar single axle trailer/487 setups with two additional support rollers bolted to the cross member under the front roller/stop. These support the front of the boat on either side of the front roller/stop. Are these support rollers available anywhere? Has anyone experienced a similar problem or can anyone shed some light on this problem. any help would be appreciated.
