hey just looking for some tips on removing the lower unit I have tried to drop it but I could not get it to slide out. I didn't want to damage it so I thought I would ask on here because i am sure there is some dumb little trick that I am missing.
the motor is a 2005 evinrude e-tec 225 h.o.

did you remove the port side cover then disconnect the bolt holding the gearcase shift shaft at the clevis?

That is the problem for sure thanks so much i fell dumb but i thought it is better to ask then mess up my motor.
