    pin connector

I have a 1984 Johnson 150 gt and I need to replace a few ignition coils. My question is how do I remove the pin connector and how do I put the new ones in?

    Re: pin connector (ironcastle)

rubbing alcohol for lubrication and the pin removal tool. There are 3 tools for those Amphenol connectors, pin removal, socket removal, and installer for both. If you are good at fabricating try a piece of appropriate sized model airplane brass tubing using a wooden dowel for a handle and drilled for the tubing. Then grind away about half the diameter of another piece and use it on the opposite end for installing.

Radio Shack sells pin removal/install tools for electronic connectors. Just not sure if they have that size.
