    Gel is cracking on bottom

I just bought a boat that looks to be in perfect shape. The guy only used it three times and ran into problems. The bottom of the boat had one small chipped area in the gel about three inches long by the rail board. It went to the fiberglass but no further. I repaired the spot and I have been out about 10 times now. I haven't hit a single stump and there are three more cracks about the same size along the v lines by the rails. The rails look perfect.

Is this normal for boats to crack in the gel coat on the bottom, after sitting up for a long time?

    What should I do?

    Thanks guys!

Re: Gel is cracking on bottom (Cobraholic)

I would take it to a reputable shop, see if it has been damaged and had gel work already done on it.
