Does anyone use a trolling plate on their motors. I know it is probably used more for walleye/pike fishing (allthough we have trolled for bass before, but not too much).
I was wondering if the trolling plate would fit on a motor that has a hydrofoil.

I use a Trolling Plate, yes for walleye fishing. My hydrofoil does not work with the troll plate. Do not notice a big performance difference with the plate on the motor. IMO get the aluminum on with the spring loaded kick out plate (EasyTroller Trolling Plate). The plastic ones that use a shear pin are a real pain. Every time I would throttle up a little to reposition the boat the pin would break.
